NEW PUPPY!!!

2 min read

I just got with my parents and adopted (actually fostering for three months until we decide to keep) a puppy from a rescue ranch that had dogs, cats, horses, bunnies, and other farm animals as well as an emu. She is a light brindle colored mix, probably a Labrador Retriever with maybe a bit of Boxer in her. She was from a foster home, but we got to meet her when we brought our Pomeranian Foxy to interact with.

At first, my dad wanted a hound mix named Julie and when Foxy met her, he was a bit scared of her for not only being big as my brother's dog while also a little wound-up wild girl. Upon meeting the puppy who's original name was Dot, he liked her and she liked him. As of now, they are play-fighting and Foxy seems more happy to have a fuzzy sibling to play with along with keeping company.

Plus, we even decided to name her Belle. My dad was okay with it, but he really warmed up and likes her a lot. I'm happy for him that he has a little fuzzy girl of his own.

My mom and I like her, but I somehow have high hopes for either my birthday or Christmas to get a rescue that is a spitz breed (Pomeranian, Keeshond, Samoyed, Pomsky, or Alaskan Malamute) that'll help with trying to mend my heart with the losses of Babie and Cubby. OR have a Labrador or even a Golden Retriever.

I'll wait and see what happens then.

Just this morning at 1:00, my Keeshond Cubby died. He was only 12-yrs old and was only about a month away from turning 13. For over a year, he had been diagnosed with liver cancer and the vet said that he only had six months to live. HOWEVER, he managed to beat the clock and somehow lived for one year and four months. Just like what happened to my Pomeranian Babie, Cubby died in my arms as he took his last breaths...

My mom and I kept him on a liver-friendly diet by including broccoli, string beans, pureed pumpkin, and canned liver for dog food along with giving him some probiotic yogurt as well as some fish (anchovies, sardines, and salmon).

My Cubby was a salvation to me and my mom as a way to cope with my previous Keeshond Teddy who died at a very young age at two years old (due to an a**hole neighbor who ran a stop sign and ran him over thinking he was a ball). Cubby not only shared the same bloodline for the same father, he had similar personalities as Teddy as a puppy. Despite some of the skin allergies he had and the special diets/shots to give him, he was affectionate, sweet, caring, and a loving dog.

I will never forget you, Cubby-Cubs. I will always share the happy memories of you in my heart forever and hope that you're in Heaven over the Rainbow Bridge with my other dogs, waiting for me...

Now that I've gotten my Pomeranian Foxy with me, I'm hoping that after I come back from my vacation that I'll find another dog from a rescue or a breeder (hopefully a girl dog of any breed: Labrador, Keeshond, Pomeranian, or anything double-coated and fluffy while also affectionate and playful) and that he'd have a playmate for life so he wouldn't be so lonely.

Just this early morning, my black-and-white parti Pomeranian Babie has passed away. She was only 13.5 years old and was having issues with her back legs since late October. For the most part, I had her laying on her plush bed lined with a bunch of pee-pee pads for her since she can't walk outside to go to the bathroom anymore and she was in constant pain that I had to give her small doses of pain-killers to help her at ease.

For the months from late October until this morning in February, she would lay on her side and be crying. The times she cried would be whenever she was hungry, thirsty, needed her pads to be changed, and to be held. I felt so bad for her seeing her like this and I wanted to take her to the vet to put her down, but I couldn't and I wasn't really ready to let go/say good-bye to her.

When I woke up around 3:00 to hear her crying, I changed her pads and went back to sleep only to wake up 20 minutes later to hear a loud thud as I looked to see her wriggling/squirming to get back up. I picked her up and noticed that she was somewhat twisting her body around and when I tried to straighten her out, she started to give out and as I tried to wash her to make her smell nice/feel clean, she died in my arms...

I knew that her time would come, but I didn't expect it to be so fast and soon!!! :cries::cries::cries::cries:

For the most part, I know that she is no longer in pain and that I was able to hold onto her as she took her last breaths... Now she's at peace and is over the Rainbow Bridge in Heaven with my other dogs that had passed away... No matter what happens, I will always cherish and remember the good times I had with my Babie. I will always love her and keep the memories of her alive in my heart, my dreams, and in my writings...

She was everything to me: gentle, loving, funny, cuddly, adorable, and really sweet. She didn't have a single mean bone in her body nor did she do anything out of spite. Like the little heart-shaped marking on her forehead, she was a real sweetheart.

In loving memory of Babie: July 5th 2009-February 11 2023

In a recent poll that I posted, I liked how I was able to go in lengthy sentences and details of the options I have listed. Now I can only go far with some many characters that it's limited.

Anywho, for the poll I made for plans on my Mummy fanfics, I have an explanation of who's who and what their purpose is. Keep in mind, the main OC I have planned for is Natalie O'Connell who is Rick O'Connell's daughter and also in the past life is Princess Azucena who was Imhotep betrothed/true love who was murdered by Anck-su-namun which resulted in Imhotep being condemned to the Hom Dai.

  1. Julia and Alice Carnahan: Evy's daughters from a previous marriage who befriend Natalie, Emily, and Layla O'Connell while the girls are in Egypt as they also join in with Rick, Evy, and Jonathan to Hamunaptra. They even were royalty in the past life named Princess Shakira and Princess Masika.

  2. Emily, Jasmine, and Layla O'Connell: Natalie's sisters who are also goddaughters of Mr. Burns, Mr. Daniels, and Sierra O'Connell as Natalie is a goddaughter to Mr. Henderson. After receiving a letter that Rick is alive and somehow escaped Hamunaptra, they head to Egypt to be reunited while only to hear that a few months later that he was arrested for assaulting Jonathan on top of being drunk in a bar brawl. The four try to cope with school, their hobbies in singing/dance, and even working in the Cairo Museum/Library with Evy. Three years later, they get to reunite with their father again and head to Hamunaptra for the adventure of a lifetime as they also encounter dangers such as flesh-eating scarabs, ancient curses, and of course the mummy himself Imhotep. In the past like Natalie, they were princesses Hisana, Aziza, and Shanaya. With Natalie and the Carnahan girls, they also have necklaces that somehow have special powers for protection and links to remembering the past life. The three sisters also join in adventures dealing with Egyptian mummies along with adventures in Greece, India, and Romania/Hungary (for Transylvania).

  3. Katie O'Connell: Alex's twin sister who is somehow the "good twin" and has a bit of an American accent mixed in with a hint of British. Almost like her older sisters, she has a ring that shows off visions of the past and future while also giving off special powers for use of the elements such as fire, thunder and lightning, water (in forms of waves, rain, ice, and snow), wind/air, and earth/sand. She also is gifted in dancing and singing like her sisters as well as a love of history, classic literature, reading/writing/speaking ancient languages, and even has a fondness of witchcraft (mostly white magic, but could use black magic against evil for protection of love ones)

  4. Sierra O'Connell: Natalie's aunt who falls in love with Ardeth Bey. She starts off a Rick's sister who like him is of Irish, Scottish, English, French, Greek, Cherokee, Spanish, Cuban, and Mexican descent. While trying to care for the girls as Rick is in jail, she holds down a job as a dancer/singer/waitress. She's also a great fighter in hand-to-hand combat, swords, knives, and guns. She encounters Ardeth a few times even before finally meeting him when Imhotep has resurrected and even later on joins Ardeth to be the first female Medjai. She manages to somehow see that Imhotep was in fact a tortured soul as she also tries to piece together memories of the past along with knowing the powers of the seven gems of the Nile (which were possessed by Natalie, Julia, Layla, Emily, Alice, Katie, and even Evy). On a side note: Ardeth Bey is actually my OC Raniyah O'Connell's closest friend and relative (thinking either brother or cousin who'd later become a godfather to Katie O'Connell after she and Alex are born) from the Medjai tribe (Raniyah is Natalie, Emily, Jasmine, and Layla's mother who tragically died in a car accident in a heavy rain shower).

  5. Ramin Singh: An Indian who works at the museum/library and is a mystic. He is also a close friend to Evy and Jonathan for working with their parents for years along with befriending the O'Connell girls as well as Julia and Alice. He is also a pro when it comes to fortune telling, palm reading, and even can see visions of the past life. He is good with combat in both sword, gun, and fists along with using water, fire, and smoke as illusions/magic to ward off evil.
